Mosaic Art & Murals

The Welcome Wall

TTC Victoria park subway, Toronto, on

In August 2010 I was commissioned to create the entrance mural at the rebuilt Victoria Park subway station.  The award winning redesign of the subway by Architects Anikolab was themed ROOTS and this 303 sq. ft. mural was inspired by tree rings. The black and white design was provided. It took me and my team of 4 mosaicists 18 weeks to create this with over 275, 000 pieces of vitreous glass.  It was installed February 2011.
